As an employer, you have responsibility for all the employees working for you. That means, ensuring they have a comfortable environment to work in, they have adequate rest breaks, and they are as safe as possible. One of the most common injuries seen in the workplace is falls. These can be a result of hazards, items positioned incorrectly, or slippery floors.

Epoxy Flooring

This is similar to polyurethane paints and provides an equally professional-looking finish. In most cases this is the better choice if you are removing an existing floor, especially if you have, or are happy to have, a concrete subfloor installed.

Taping An Area

If the surface is particularly irregular and you either can’t have it repaired or are waiting for a new floor to be laid, you should consider anti-slip tape. In effect, you are cordoning an area and advising people it is dangerous. It won’t stop the floor from being slippery or rough enough to trip over. But, it will alert people to the issue, helping to ensure they tread carefully.
